// 1ST WEEK OF RECORDING //

This picture is to visualize the new direction Europe are going for with the forthcoming album... NOT!
Anyways, our first 5 days in the studio have come to an end and drums and bass are recorded for all the songs. Job well done Ian and John L.!
We're looking forward to a couple of days off now and will get back to you next week with info on how the work is proceeding.

Looking at that pic, I thougth - just for a moment - that Joey could have played "that" on the new Europe's album! Mmmm, it would be weird in a hard rock song, maybe funny... I prefer not! ;) However have a restful weekend... we will think about you and the next week we'll be right here to offer you support to the new pearl in Europe's home being born! Have fun, rock it like you never done before, and then rock it just a litte more ;)

Love it when you are in a good mood and making jokes, Joey! :)
The new album will be filled with loads of positive energy!

The accordion can be used in one of your ballads, maybe?
You guys always try something new so I am sure you will surprise us again anyway. ^^

Feels like we have been sitting in the studio with you guys the whole week......very nice.
Super well done, Ian & John, for being so efficient... :)

See you next week again!!

Have a nice rest now, guys! You deserve it! It's great to know that you've been in such a good mood these days! This will be a great album, mainly because it will be filled with so much positivism and energy, which you pass on us too! You were in thus good mood the whole time, while recording it, so I'm sure it will be a killer!

If I recall correctly, someone asked if Joey was going to wear leather pants again. I think he will......

The picture with the accordian answers that question and hints to the direction the band is going - Lederhosen...only one problem; he is about 2-3 months too late..

Remember: In himmel gibts kein bier.....(and "coffee")

hee hee; great picture
Best wishes

Glad to see Joey's taking up a new instrument.
For some reason this made me think of aweird song Pearl Jam had I think n the "Vitalogy" album.I don't know if that's the new direction in your music, but Joey I do hope you play better accordeon than Eddie Vedde did on that song.

take care

Hi my dear:
You look so cool! It reminds me the national dance here in Chile: la cueca, because it's played with accordion and guitar, so I can imagine you dressed as a "huaso", jajajajja. Please, try to come to my country, I promise you a great experience!

It seems it's Joey Tempest birthday today (difficult to stay ignorant of it: your fans are proclaiming it everywhere).

So, have a nice birthday Mr Tempest!

And as he looks really kind and inoffensive on this picture, I even dare send him a little kiss on his cheek (but a very very little one: not to wake up the dozing beast...); we do this in France for persons we like.
